Slowing down

It was dark out on the way home today. The usual heavy traffic was magnified by the unexpected snow that began to fall. At that moment, everything just looked surreal. Water drops were desperately clinging to the windows and the world outside was blurred from the condensation within the bus. Every glowing sign shown brighter than ever and exploded in color, almost like something out of a cartoon. The world just slowed down suddenly. People are so easily swept up by the rush of modern society that we forget to sit down and enjoy the little things around us. Each breath, every sound and the dancing of lights and snow all contribute to the moment at hand. And there is nothing more than I can ask for.
