Thoughts

What is it that defines ones life? Is it ones achievements? Or the journey they take to get there? The age old question of what the heck is life for, considering the majority of people just want to bother others and make other peoples lives miserable. We all want something for ourselves, we just don't know what it is. We're constantly bombarded with whats right, whats cool and what we should like. All this distracts and confuses us from what we actually want. Most people live there lives not knowing what makes them happy, just one burst of emotion at a time with the incessant ups and downs. We call this our life and we're ok with that. But one day, something happens that opens your eyes. A sudden sense of awareness of yourself and the others around you takes over. The realization of true happiness and joy. An overwhelming feeling so unexplainable that only those who experienced it can understand. Many are fortunate to experience it, but only a few can hold on to it. The rest of us brush it off and continue on with our routine lives. What if you can have that moment forever? Through thick and thin that underlying feeling is always there? I want to believe it exists. In fact I know it does. It just starts with a little bit of awareness and a little bit of searching. When it comes down to it, how else would you want to live your life?
